Production Manager

Main purpose of the role:

The Production Manager will be responsible for the realisation, to the highest possible standard, of the artistic vision of productions, through close liaison with the Artistic Director, the Executive Director, the Freelance Creatives and the Tours Producer. They will also be responsible for the organisation and maintenance of the Oily Cart premises (2 x making workshops and 1 rehearsal room), vehicles (1 van and any hired vehicles), equipment and props storage.

Key Terms

• Part-time: This is a flexible role that equates to 3 days per week or 156 days per year. We would expect the production manager to be full time during production periods (2 per year) but would then scale back to 1-2 days per week when we’re not in production.
• Annual Salary: £35,000 pro rata at 0.6 (i.e. £21,000 for a 3-day week).
• Location: Rehearsing and building productions at Oily Cart’s premises in Tooting, South London, or other rehearsal locations. We also have a storage facility in Slough and the Production Manager will be required to travel to tour venues as necessary.
• Reporting to: Artistic Director, Executive Director
• Responsible for: Design Assistants and Makers, Technical Crew and Contractors
