Now in its 43rd year, Lichfield Festival runs an 11-day summer multi-arts Festival, a springtime Literature Festival, an October Chamber Music Weekend and an annual Christmas concert. The annual programme is varied and features 90+ events across mainstream, contemporary and classic genres, with the goal to ensure arts for all. From comedy to classical music, folk to family workshops, recent past performers at Lichfield Festival and Lichfield Literature have included Tony Hadley, Kate Rusby, The Unthanks, Mark Watson, the BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra Wales, KT Tunstall, Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Nitin Sawhney, Eddi Reader, Mica Paris, Bobby Seagull, the London Community Gospel Choir, Alison Weir, Tracy Borman, Paterson Joseph and Justin Webb.

Lichfield Festival seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic Learning & Participation (L&P) Producer to lead on the delivery of its creative engagement programmes. Working two days per week (average), the L&P Producer will develop and manage a range of community-facing projects that broaden access to the arts, inspire creativity, and foster intergenerational understanding.

The role includes producing the Festival’s Learning & Participation strands, including youth development, schools work, community projects, and intergenerational initiatives, while also supporting the delivery of the wider Festival as an Assistant Producer during peak activity periods.

Job Requirements

Essential
Experience producing arts engagement/education projects
Strong project management, planning, delivery & evaluation skills
Experience with schools, community, youth, or intergenerational groups
Creative facilitation/workshop delivery
Budget and admin skills
Highly organised; able to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication & stakeholder relationship skills
Proficient in MS Office & project tools
Proactive, flexible, independent problem-solver
Willingness to work evenings/weekends
Strong understanding of safeguarding, diversity & inclusion

Desirable
Experience in festivals or multi-arts events
Knowledge of Lichfield/West Midlands
Familiarity with Arts Council England funding/reporting
Skills in digital content (photo/video/social media)
Driving licence or local travel ability
