Job Summary

Artgo is recruiting a Fine Art Customs and Logistics Coordinator. This is a permanent role which will be a full time contract from Monday to Friday. The role will be office based in our West London Office

Job Description

The Fine Art Customs and Logistics Coordinator’s role is a vital part of the Customs and Logistics department. You will oversee the customs procedures for all international transportation of Fine Art, as well as diversions between customs regimes, maintaining compliance with international regulations and handling complex procedures. You will also coordinate all UK, European and international shipments.

As an imperative role to uphold the company’s high standards, you will liaise with both the client as well as external agents & suppliers to maintain smooth services, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery of documents and information. This will include customs documents, advising on protocol and ensuring client satisfaction is met. You should be highly organised and able to multitask to keep multiple shipments running smoothly, simultaneously, and deliver information between clients and agents in a timely and clear way.

Another key responsibility of this role is to have meticulous attention to detail and focus to ensure that all customs and logistics records and databases are kept up to date with accurate information.

You will be part of a small team and the candidate should have the ability to work independently as well as being able to work collaboratively with the rest of the department.

Job Requirements

Your skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs and logistics operations within the fine art or specialist logistics sector is mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing documents.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international customs protocols, including AEO, deferment processes, and VAT implications.
  • Hands-on experience with customs forms such as T-forms and diversion entries.
  • Experience in dealing with bonded warehousing and temporary authorisation procedures.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
