Job Summary

We are looking for a Young People’s Programme Assistant to join the National Theatre Learning Department.

Job Description

The Young People’s Programme Assistant will work closely with the Young People’s Programme team to support the in-person and administrative delivery of a high-quality and inspiring programme for children and young people. The programme encompasses a range of creative projects, courses and training, including Connections, Connections, New Views, and Young People’s projects. Projects run both in person and online, and through nationwide programmes run with partner organisations.

This role is focused on Young People’s Programme but work with the wider Learning team is required for the operation of the programme and the wider development of youth led work at the NT.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • An interest in engaging children and young people in theatre and the arts.
  • Solid administrative experience.
  • Good organisational skills, the ability to work to deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills including face-to-face, on the phone and in writing.
  • Some experience supporting or assisting workshop facilitation
  • The ability to work positively as part of a team.
