The successful candidate will take the lead in shaping and delivering an ambitious approach to the V&A’s international work, working with senior managers and stakeholders across the V&A to create an imaginative business strategy for the period 2026-2030.

Our ambition is to extend the reach and impact of the V&A’s collections, ideas and brand on the international stage, and particularly the global creative industries community, Building on our existing partnerships such as that with Design Society (Shenzhen), an extensive touring exhibitions programme, professional development for museums and brand licencing, we seek to grow our international commercial activities contribution to support the V&A’s wider work.

This will involve the development of new commercial propositions for the V&A, as well as maintaining and growing existing international programmes. Cultivating and maintaining existing relationships across the cultural and creative sectors, in the UK and overseas, will be crucial to the development of our new strategy, as well as investigating opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations as we seek to innovate and grow our network.
