Senior Collections and Exhibitions Officer

To lead on the care, conservation, storage, documentation and presentation of The Box’s collection in line with professional standards and best practice, as well as organisational vision, mission and values. To plan and manage key aspects of the development and delivery of high-quality temporary exhibitions and permanent gallery redisplays. This will include install, deinstall and technical matters and to loans from external institutions and individuals. To champion and develop both internally and sector-wide, innovative and progressive approaches to collections management and exhibition development. This should include identifying and harnessing opportunities for fundraising and collaboration. To manage a team of collection and exhibition staff, as well as occasional specialist freelance personnel technical staff as required. As a specialist in collections management and exhibition delivery, to collaborate closely with senior colleagues.
