Job Description
James Steel Productions is hiring a proactive and creative Marketing Manager to lead campaign strategy and audience development across our in-house commercial productions and general management client portfolio.
This is a senior, hands-on role within a small, fast-paced team. You’ll line-manage a Marketing Associate and take ownership of planning, content creation, campaign execution, and audience insight across multiple shows. You’ll work across JSP-led productions and third-party client projects, delivering data-led marketing that supports sales and brand profile.
We’re seeking someone with 3+ years of theatre or live performance marketing experience, excellent copywriting skills, and a confident grasp of digital tools (e.g. Meta Ads, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Canva). You’ll thrive managing competing priorities, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering campaigns that connect with audiences and meet KPIs.

Job Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in theatre or live performance marketing
- Proven ability to lead campaigns across digital, press, and print
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
- Comfortable using tools such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Canva
- Understanding of audience segmentation and ticketing strategy
- Excellent organisation, multitasking, and communication skills
- Experience line-managing staff or freelancers
- Confident working with venues, producers, and third-party agencies
- Familiarity with performance reporting and marketing analytics
- Passionate about theatre, audiences, and data-led creative work
