Lead Sound Technician (Touring)

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Sound Technician to manage all audio elements of Eireann, the latest touring production from A Taste of Ireland. This is a high-responsibility role suited to someone confident with touring environments, show mixes, and solving problems on the fly.

You’ll be responsible for running FOH sound during all performances, managing QLab playback, wireless (RF) microphones, and in-ear monitor (IEM) systems. A strong working knowledge of IEMs is essential, as they are a critical part of this show and can present challenges in live environments.

You’ll work closely with the Stage Manager, venue techs, and other touring crew to ensure clean, consistent audio throughout the tour. The show includes pre-recorded music, live vocals, and multiple cue-based transitions, requiring a calm and focused approach at every performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all sound setup, mixing, and operation on tour

• Run QLab playback and FOH mix during performances

• Setup, monitor, and troubleshoot RF mics and IEM systems

• Maintain audio equipment and ensure consistent show quality

• Liaise with venue tech teams and assist with bump-in/pack-out

• Report to Production Manager and work collaboratively with cast and crew

Accommodation, travel, and per diems provided. Fixed-term contract begins early August.
