Job Description
Seeking production team members for “Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical.” From the moment you arrive, you’ll find yourself immersed in the halls of Rydell High alongside Danny and Sandy as every corner of the set comes alive. With live music, a summer fairground, and classic American diner-inspired delights, every unforgettable moment and song from Grease unfolds before your eyes.
Rehearses 30 June-19 July (with load-in starting 12 July) in London or Battersea, England; runs 5 Aug.-7 Sep. (with load-out completing 10 September) in London or Battersea, England.
Fixed-Term Contract Monday 14 July – Tuesday 9 September. (Prep dates in Cardiff 8 to 10 July)
Rate: £900 / week
Total Pay: £7,200 (est. 8 weeks of work)
Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Sound No 2, A2, audio technician or similar role in theatre or live events.
Working knowledge of digital consoles (DiGiCo, Yamaha), RF coordination and playback software.
Confident with basic networking (Dante, MADI) and audio signal flow.
Calm under pressure, good communicator and strong team player.
Solid fault-finding skills and willingness to learn advanced mixing techniques.
Sound understanding of UK noise regulations and theatre health-and-safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
Support the Sound No 1 (Head of Sound) with all audio operations, including rigging, line-checks and show runs.
Operate RF monitoring, playback (e.g. QLab) and comms systems during rehearsals and performances.
Assist with mixing as required-covering scenes, understudies or changeovers under guidance from Sound No 1.
Carry out daily maintenance, battery changes and fault-finding on microphones, IEMs and loudspeakers.
Prep and label cable looms, input lists and patch panels; help with load-ins, changeovers and de-rigs.
Keep accurate logs of RF allocations, cue sheets and equipment issues.
Follow all health-and-safety procedures, particularly around noise exposure, cable management and power distribution.
Attend production meetings and note sessions to stay aligned with the Sound Designer’s vision.
