Job Description
Seeking production team members for “Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical.” From the moment you arrive, you’ll find yourself immersed in the halls of Rydell High alongside Danny and Sandy as every corner of the set comes alive. With live music, a summer fairground, and classic American diner-inspired delights, every unforgettable moment and song from Grease unfolds before your eyes.
Rehearses 30 June-19 July (with load-in starting 12 July) in London or Battersea, England; runs 5 Aug.-7 Sep. (with load-out completing 10 September) in London or Battersea, England.
Fixed-Term Contract Monday 17 July – Tuesday 9 September.
Rate: £800 / week
Total Pay: £6,400 (est. 8 weeks of work)
Job Requirements
Previous experience as a Sound Assistant, A3 or casual audio tech in theatre or live events.
Basic understanding of audio signal flow, RF practice and digital consoles (DiGiCo, Yamaha or similar).
Comfortable handling delicate mic hardware and small-format tools.
Calm under pressure, proactive communicator and reliable team player.
Eager to develop advanced mixing and networking skills.
Working knowledge of UK theatre health-and-safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Support the Sound No 1 and No 2 with daily audio tasks, including laying and striking cable looms, rigging loudspeakers and tidying the sound desk area.
Prep and check handhelds, head-worn mics and IEM packs before rehearsals and performances.
Handle on-stage mic swaps, battery changes and quick fixes during shows.
Monitor RF and comms as directed, flagging any issues promptly to the No 2 / No 1.
Assist with QLab playback and basic console operations during tech and show runs. Keep the sound store and workspaces organised, label kit and help with load-ins, changeovers and de-rigs.
Follow all health-and-safety procedures, especially around noise exposure, cable management and working at height.
Attend production notes to stay aligned with the Sound Designer’s and No 1’s requirements.
