Comedy actor for Christmas Tour

Same Difference will be touring Jack and the Beanstalk around Yorkshire and the North this Christmas.

This will be a fast-paced, high-energy show. It will include singing and dancing for 3 multi-rolling performers to tour our take on the traditional story.

The tour itself will be physically demanding. You will be asked to perform two shows a day in multiple venues and will need to be physically able to assist with setting up and taking down sets and tech as part of the team. There will also be a tour manager who will drive the van and support the technical set up.

Ideally performers will have experience in comedy, children’s theatre, improvisation, pantomime and/or clown.

Please only apply if you are available for 90% of the rehearsal dates and 90% of the confirmed tour dates. We are prioritising local actors based in Yorkshire.

Unfortunately, we cannot pay relocation costs, so please only apply if you have a base close to Leeds/ Bradford and understand any costs to get to the rehearsals or the pick up point in Leeds, you will need to cover yourself.

Parts we are looking for:

Jack – Male or non-binary presenting

Multi role 1 – (any gender or age) We will be looking for someone with good comedy skill.

Multi role 2- (any gender or age) We will be looking for someone with good comedy skill.

Understudy – You will be guaranteed show and rehearsal days. We will offer you work as part of the wider SD theatre walkabout/ singing team so you are available to swap into shows to cover illness.
