Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and passionate Project & Education Manager to support the delivery of our artistic programme, educational and community outreach, and fundraising strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing charity that champions South Asian dance and cultural engagement in the UK.
The role involves managing project logistics, contracts, class scheduling, educational partnerships, fundraising support, and producing assistance, with a focus on both operational delivery and strategic development. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of programmes, contributing to development of the annual objectives in the Business Plan, in close working with the Artistic Director and creative team.
Term: freelance short-term contract ( Hybrid)
Ideally the role would begin on w/c 23 June 2025 (days to be decided)
Final working week would be w/c 13 October 2025 (days to be decided)
Hours: 1 day per week ; can be negotiated to hours per week; in person day/ hours in London are required , with sufficient flexibility ; Office hours are 10am to 6pm but evening and weekend work may be required during festival period, planned with the Festival Producer/ Artistic director .
Total Fee: a daily rate of £175 per day . Local travel within London not included
Other Benefits: Complimentary ticket for all festival shows.
Job Requirements
Some prior experience in arts administration or project management.
Demonstrable experience coordinating arts or education programmes.
Good understanding of working with children, community groups, outreach programmes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in fundraising (e.g., supporting grant applications or donor communications) and budgeting
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic design tools (e.g., Canva), social media platforms.
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and Proactiveness
Ability to represent the organisation to a broad range of stakeholders
Some Experience in producing or co-producing live events or performances.
Knowledge & interest in dance, arts, or cultural sectors in the UK.
Experience using project management tools
Understanding of funding frameworks & reporting on grants
Strong IT skills
