Job Description
This is a freelance opportunity for an individual to develop their facilitator practice as well as gain experience in the arts and voluntary sector. We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and creative. A passion for empowering young people is key. The job will involve assisting workshops in local schools and general workshop preparation. Pay is £14 an hour.
You must be able to make all of these dates/times:
Tuesdays, 3pm – 4:30pm:
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June
1st, 8th, 15th July
Thursdays 3pm – 4:30pm:
19th, 26th, June
3rd, 10th, 17th July
There will be the opportunity for more work with Artburst in the future.
We are hoping to conduct interviews w/c 19th May with a start date after half term in June 2025.
Job Requirements
We will require you to have a current enhanced DBS check.
Essential qualities:
- Energy, enthusiasm and a passion for working with children
- Ability to be self-motivated and work in a supportive way within a team
- A friendly and welcoming attitude towards external partner organisations and schools
- Ability to work well in a team
Desirable qualities:
- Experience in art or drama workshop facilitation/assisting
- A professional qualification in the arts or arts therapy
- Experience in Makaton signing
- Experience working with SEND children
